I decided to improve my Tailwind CSS knowledge a little bit more. Previously, I created a simple recipe website using Tailwind CSS, but it was a frustrating experience for me. That’s why I’ve decided to look for a Tailwind CSS specific tutorial.

To be honest, I really don’t want to learn Tailwind CSS. I much prefer my trusty, old friend—plain CSS. However, I know that as a developer, resisting new technologies isn’t the right mindset. So, I’m determined to give it my best shot and learn Tailwind CSS.

For now, I’m following a YouTube tutorial that seems promising. That might change in the future, but I think it’s a good starting point for now. I’ll likely rely on ChatGPT and Google for additional help along the way.

I want to create a website like Letterboxd, but for books. However, I don’t have the motivation for such a big project right now. I’m bored of making websites.

Today, I came across a YouTube channel called Travis Media. I binge-watched nearly all of his videos, and they gave me a bit of strength and motivation, which I really needed. I especially liked one of his videos where he shared eight rules for learning to code in 2025. Here are the rules he talked about in the video.

  1. You have to love it.

  2. You have to put it in the work.

  3. You have to live it.

  4. You have to be specific.

“Create a timeline. You will not succeed if you not extremely specific with your plan of action.”

  5. You have to put on blinders.

  6. You have to network.

  7. You have to overcome of your fears.

  8. You have to mute AI. (while learning)
